Time Killer

Time Killer by Todd Thiede on Amazon

Time Killer by Todd Thiede

After reading the first few pages of “Time Killer,” it was difficult to keep reading. The dialogue seems unnatural  and the writing comes across as forced. I liked the concept of a serial killer getting even with people for wasting his time, so I stayed with it, and I’m glad I did. Read more

Today I’d like you to meet Annamaria Bazzi.  She’s written a new story called:

White Swans

Left an orphan, Kendíka cries herself to sleep and startles awake in a Regency castle. Terror consumes her, and she attempts to escape only to discover the new world is her prison. Having no choice, she attends a ball given by her guardian, Lord Deverow, to introduce her into society. He admonishes her to follow the rules and promises to protect her from the wrath of the strange, hazy set of eyes spying on everything. Using Magazines and Trailers to Boost Book Sales

Prize winning books and best sellers would catapult an author’s name to fame. Awards have a big reader drawing factor as the book is expected to be a good read. The same thing is true with best sellers. Readers have the tendency to pick books branded as best sellers as there is a certain surety that the book would have a superior literary quality. Readers have the common notion that money will not be wasted if best sellers are chosen. Not all authors are fortunate to bag awards. Not many authors can have best sellers. Read more

Wrong Place Wrong Time

by David P Perlmutter
Wrong Place Wrong Time on Jimsgotweb.com

This is a true story about how being in the wrong place at the wrong time and making a few bad decisions can be disastrous.  After an arrest for drunk driving, Dave loses his job along with the BMW that went with it.  He decides to spend the summer in Spain, to re-evaluate his life.

Arriving in Spain, Dave gets a job right away.  However, it quickly goes bad when one of his new co-workers thinks Dave is hitting on his girlfriend.  After taking a beating, Dave moves on; even though he has only enough money left to last him a week or so, he decides not to worry about his financial situation and to party hard.

He spends all day on the beach working on his tan, and then all evening partying until sunrise.  When his money runs out, the landlord of the hostel throws him out of his room with only his passport and the clothes on his back.

I won’t ruin the suspense by telling you what happens next, but suffice it to say, it will bring to mind some scenes from Midnight Express.  This is an incredible adventure narrative, full of vivid descriptions and exciting plot twists.  It’s a great read, even more so because it’s true!

This is David P. Perlmutter’s first story— I hope it’s not his last!

John Irving's A Son of the CircusJohn Irving’s Dr. Farrokh Daruwalla was born in Bombay.  Although he lived in Toronto he always felt the need to return to India every four or five years.  He would probably keep returning to India as long as there were dwarfs in the circus that he could collect blood from for his research in genetics, which way why he was known affectionately as “the vampire.”   Read more
