Byteful Travel Blog Carnival #19 – 2013 August

Byteful Travel on JimsGotWeb.com

Hello and welcome to the Byteful Travel Blog Carnival. I’d like to thank Andrew at Byteful Travel for allowing me to host another edition of the carnival. I’ve been a big fan and have always enjoyed participating in them. If you’re new to blog carnivals, they’re a smart way to discover new writers that you wouldn’t normally come across.

If one of your articles is in this month’s edition, be sure to share it with your social media. Tweeting, Stumbling, or Liking this will help spread the word and multiplies the reach of this blog carnival, which in turn helps more people discover your article and site.

So, let’s get started, here’s the 19th edition of the carnival!

Cerise presents 8 Things to See in Beijing You Won’t Want to Miss posted at The Beijing Apartment Blog, saying,

quote No trip to the Orient is complete without a stop through some of Beijing’s world famous monuments. The Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and more await – and when the day’s over and your feet are tired, enjoy traditional Chinese opera at the National Grand Theatre, and mouth-watering Peking duck at a restaurant dating back to the 1800s.

Dinoo Kelleghan presents Colombo Life posted at dinookelleghan, saying

Pa Ul presents Hong Kong posted at Travel Blog of Pa Ul.

quotePa Ul is an emerging visual artist online who begun to rekindle his artistic path through social media.  Now, he is slowly progressing to be a nomadic trying to see places, meet people, experience culture and diversities, eat unique foods, and a lot more in his own simple ways at his own pace in time.

Rajiv Krishnaswamy presents The Cat Guardian of Phou Si posted at Feed Me Travel.

quote Luang Prabang on the banks of the Mekong in Laos is the kind of place that enchants anyone who happens to find themselves there. Travel Tips

Travelling Mudskippers presents Travel Lessons We’ve Learned (So Far) posted at the Travelling Mudskippers.

quoteToday we decided to venture away from our usual posts to focus on lessons we’ve learned so far about travel.  We are relative travel newbies so to our more travel-savvy readers, our lessons learned might still seem naive but hopefully this post will help other noobs avoid some of our pitfalls.

eemusings presents Four tips for travelling with your partner (or, how to not kill your travel buddy) posted at NZ Muse.

quoteTravelling with a partner is a double edged sword. Travelling alone means no compromising, but conversely, no one to share the experience with. Travelling with someone else flips that equation on its head – and sometimes that’s a real challenge.

That’s it for this edition of the Byteful Travel Blog Carnival. Thanks for everyone who submitted an entry and be sure to take a moment and share this with your social media.

Let me ask you a question. You got BC?

If you write well, have written something travel-related, and you haven’t submitted to the BTBC before, can I ask you a question? What are you waiting for? Blog Carnivals are free and powerful way to get more exposure to your work. By doing so, you reach multitudes, many of which have never even seen your site before, so it’s a real win-win-win situation.

So if you’re a writer, and you’ve written something that relates to travel, submit a piece you’re proud of to the next BTBC by going to the submission form. Just remember to read the simple ground rules.
